About
Megan Diémé, LSCSW, LCSW, RPT she/her/ella
(pronounced jem-meh)
Almost all of us have had adverse experiences or trauma in our lives that shape how we live and interact with others. Regardless of your trauma or experiences, as a trauma-trained therapist I will help guide you through healing.
I will not pretend to know more about your life than you.
I will not judge you for who you are.
I will not determine what healing means for you.
I will not be a gatekeeper to accessing the resources you need.
Although your reasons for seeking therapy are serious, my goal is for you to feel comfortable and at ease during sessions. You will decide your goals and what you want to work on. My background is in providing services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I also support persons with challenges such as anxiety, grief, depression, healing inner wounds and helping people find their identity. For a more comprehensive list of issues served please look under the Services tab.
I believe passionately that EVERYONE deserves healing. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirmative and actively anti-racist therapist. Our entire office is a safe space. Additionally, the office is ADA accessible, and will attend to your accessibility needs as you advise.
I received a BSCJ from Washburn University in 2004, and after five years of working with survivors at an advocacy level, I continued my education obtaining a MSW at the University of Kansas-Edward's Campus. I am a Registered Play Therapist (and yes adults can play!), I am trained in EMDR, ITCT-A and I am Nationally Certified in TF-CBT. I am clinically licensed in Kansas and Missouri, and I am able to meet via telehealth for clients living in both states.
